Expectations
MSNBC mindlessly reporting a post from AP "Future is bright for this year's MBA grads." The post had nothing what so ever to do with jobs or salary offers. The post was about what grads expected to make. Their source was the Graduate Management Admission Council, which is an organization of business schools. A bias? The expectation this year was $84K as compared to $76K a year ago. At this point only 44% had offers, even though some had spent as much as $100K on their educations. There was nothing to verify the reality that these MBA's were getting anywhere. The post did have one disclaimer, which was that some scholarly articles said that business schools didn't teach any useful skills. Graduate school is probably the best place to be if you don't want to go to work. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7996639/
